The Ritual
The Ritual is a trailer for an interactive information campaign designed as a website. On the website, the visitor will experience a spiritual event in the form of a ritual containing magic cards that claim to tell the truth. When the visitor has selected three cards, the “real” truth is presented. The visitor must sacrifice personal data to find out the meaning of the cards. The ritual is part of the dramaturgy to convey the message of the campaign. The campaign wants to lift thoughts and discussion about integrity on the internet, not only by conveying information through text, but with the help of interactive storytelling. The project is presented through an animated trailer made in Adobe Illustrator, After effects and Premiere pro. The imagery is inspired by esoteric symbols, internet culture and popular culture.
