Jord som sol’n f\u00f6rl\u00e4t (Earth that the sun forgot)<\/h2>\n

With inspiration from science fiction and theories of the abject, the sculptural series Jord som sol\u2019n f\u00f6rl\u00e4t <\/em>revolves around thoughts of what is considered disgusting, repulsive and unwanted.<\/p>\n

Here the abject refers to something that evokes a certain form of discomfort due to it challenging our identity and self-image by dissolving boarders, e.g the boarders between the inside and the outside of a body or that between the subject and the object.<\/p>\n

The pieces reflect a fascination for the repugnant and a will to explore how we relate to the alien and the unknown.<\/p>\n
