Rum för sinnen
When we enter a room our senses work combined to create an understanding of the environment around us. In an era of digitalisation a bigger part of our everyday life is lived through screens with experiences for our eyes and ears. The sense of touch is therefor missing from a big part of our experiences.
In this project the focus has been on creating spaces where the sense of touch takes a bigger part to enhance the experience of the room. Spaces where tactility is a bigger priority to create a balanced space for all senses.
In the office people spend a big part of their day, but stress and unhealth is also a big part of the work experience for a lot of people. Therefor the project investigates tactility and materiality in relation to the sense of touch and the combined experience of the senses in an office space. This to create an environment for the wellbeing of people working in the space.
The process includes research of office environments and material investigations together with design of the floorplan together with material and interior choices in the room.
The project includes renderings to show the design of the space, together with a floorplan and two models. Material samples show the choices for the interiors more clearly. Placed in the spaces is a lounge chair that also was designed for the project.
