A picture of two dolphins. I don’t know where they are, maybe in the ocean, maybe in a pool at SeaWorld. They laugh, lean against each other. Another picture of two people. One ofthem sitting with water up to the waist, the other standing up, reaching towards the person in the water.
Like humans, dolphins have complex social relationships and language. Experiments have been made where researchers have tried to imitate the sound of dolphins. In anotherexperiment, they tried to teach dolphins to speak English. None of these experiments haveled to a common way of communicating.
