Yesterdays
Nature is a cycle of creating new formations and breaking down what arises. Human constructions are preserved to maintain function and what we produce will last, which makes me think about what will exist when we no longer do.
The sculptures depict a future outside our reality that already belongs to the past. Man-made objects and fragments from our time have been combined with expressions that represent the impact of nature.
Our knowledge is the basis of what is conceivable because it is not possible to imagine what we cannot relate to. Yet we look upon something that may or may not have occurred – a speculative scenario based on a contemporary reality.
